Blake wins EcoVadis Silver Medal
We’re proud to announce that Blake have been awarded an EcoVadis Silver Medal for our work with Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), ranking us among the top 25% of all companies evaluated by EcoVadis globally.
Our Efforts Towards Making a Difference
32% LESS ENERGY
We now uses 32% less energy thanks to installing new motion sensitive LED warehouse lights.
100 TONNES
We have saved 100 tonnes of waste going to landfills per year, which has reduced our impact by 54%.
66,750 METRES
We have saved over 66,000 metres of plastic shrink wrap each year with our new plastic free envelope retail packs.
SUSTAINABLE PREMISES
At Blake, we work hard to minimise our carbon footprint through various strategies. Our Yeovil headquarters features renewable electricity, 50% extra insulation, automated cooling and LED lighting, electric forklifts, and a strict recycling programme. We’ve saved 1,494 tonnes of waste equal to 374 elephants and help you understand recycling symbols to do your part.
EVOLVE KEY ACHEIVEMENTS
Driving our efforts to reduce environmental impact and boost sustainability. Cutting our fleet by 33% and committing to electric or hybrid vehicles, installed motion-sensitive LED warehouse lights saving 32% energy, replaced plastic tape with paper tape saving 345,000 meters of plastic annually, and switched to paper document wallets for over 52,000 parcels and pallets each year.
